Infant Mental Health Network Groups
As well as supporting training in infant mental health, I-AIMH has also placed a strategic focus on supporting the translation and implementation of infant mental health skills into frontline practice by advocating for the continuous development of Infant Mental Health Network Groups (IMH-NG). This Learning Network model was developed to facilitate the consolidation of skills and competencies after Ireland’s first North Cork IMH Master Class training in 2006. Since then, IMH-NG have gathered momentum and continue as a mechanism to develop and enhance workforce capacity regarding early years development. IMH-NG also function as a coaching, mentoring and reflective practice framework for the translation of science to practice and have to date, provided a process for the implementation of competencies to frontline practice.
